Ketner Has A Plan For Construction During COVID-19
All of us at Joseph Ketner Construction care about our community and feel deeply for those who have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. We’ll get through these unsetting times together as we move into a “new normal.”
“Normal” for Joseph Ketner Construction has always included listening to your concerns and putting safety first. With that in mind, we have instituted additional health and safety procedures with our new COVID-19 Job Site Safety Practices.
We have taken these additional precautionary steps to ensure your peace of mind so that you can focus on the things that matter most to you.
We know what we’re doing, and we’ve got you covered.
Exterior remodeling without risk
Your daily lives have been disturbed, and you’re worried about how to proceed in these uneasy times. We get it, and that’s why we are taking the lead to protect you and your family while we work.
Many of you are spending more time at home due to the pandemic. That means you’re probably more aware of signs that some parts of your home are in need of repair. For example, your home’s siding may be cracked and outdated. Your windows are inefficient, and you’re seeing signs of dry rot.
Rest assured that Joseph Ketner Construction can repair and/or replace all of your exteriors without putting your family at risk.
Here’s how.
Safety-trained, willing and ready to work
We have developed a plan outlined by the top advisers in Oregon, Washington, as well as local governments and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). In addition, we continually monitor state and federal guidelines regarding best practices and recommendations.
Our management and workers have been trained in risk assessment, personal protection, social distancing, and sanitation. Each of our employees has been given the option to stay home if they so choose. They have voted unanimously to remain open and to continue working on our customers’ homes.
Revised communication methods
It starts with electronic meetings instead of job site gatherings. Modern technology makes social distancing easier through phone and video conferencing.
We are happy to consult with homeowners using the safest possible options. We can email your proposal and then meet online to answer all of your questions. Let us know your most comfortable communication methods.
Health, distancing, and protection
Our crews perform daily health checks and reduce their onsite group size. When possible, workers maintain six feet of separation or wear personal protective equipment (PPE) on construction projects.
Exterior housing construction has a unique advantage that helps us stay safe and help maintain public health during this COVID-19 pandemic. Still, workers are trained to identify the risk exposure involved with each task. When appropriate, workers will use gloves, face and eye protection to mitigate these risks.
Sanitation and Interior Remodeling
Sanitation and cleanliness are crucial. We have added measures to stay safe, including hand washing and sanitizers in our vehicles and on the job site. All workers will sanitize before and after eating, and they will avoid touching their face.
If we need to enter the home for a necessary task, such as window measuring and/or installation, Ketner workers will wear face protection and sanitize hands before and after entry. Interior surfaces and doorknobs touched by a worker will be disinfected each day.
We’re in this together and we need your help to keep our team healthy. Before entering a home, we’ll ask you to clean and sanitize the interior work areas prior to the crew’s arrival. Maintaining a personal distance of 10 feet and keeping your household pets away from the work areas will ensure the well-being of your families and our employees.
When we each do our part, we all go home to a safe and healthy family, and the construction industry can continue to produce.
Call now to get ahead of the summer rush
We are confident in these newly instituted safety systems. Adhering to strict distancing guidelines will help us do the job right while also doing our part to flatten the curve.
Call or email now to lock-in your appointment for a free siding consultation or quote. When you get your project on our summer schedule now, you’ll be ahead of the huge remodeling surge coming our way. Restrictions are easing up each week, and if you act now you’ll avoid the stress of dealing with time constraints, overbooked schedules, and unfinished projects.
Additional time is necessary to follow safety protocols; this can slow down production. That’s OK because we are doing it right and not sacrificing health or the quality of our work.
It is very important that your remodeler has a COVID-19 Safety Plan, and we highly recommend that you only use professionals who have been following CDC guidelines daily.
Know you are making a good choice
Our team is putting fears to rest while taking care of homes in your neighborhood. Let us help you, too. COVID-19 has taught us valuable lessons, which we have implemented in all aspects of business and personal lives. We’re excited to be open and here to guide you through the COVID-19 safe exterior remodeling process.
When you work with us, you can be confident that you made the smart choice; that your decision was made with care; and that the well-being of our community was a top priority.
Thank you from all of us at Joseph Ketner Construction.
