Joe began installing siding in his youth and sharpened his skills while building custom homes in the 1990s. He explored both interior and exterior remodeling but found his love of the outdoors coincided with exterior remodeling. Protecting homes from the harsh Pacific Northwest elements became his specialty. Following a passion for growth, he obtained his contracting license in 2001 and developed a business homeowners can rely on. After hours, you can find Joe researching both business and personal growth or hanging out at the mountain, cycling trails and spending time with his new tiny family members.

Planning, coordinating and connecting the team is what Brenda does best. She has an extensive background in construction, and over 30 years’ experience in small business operations. “Connecting and building relationships” is core to her life philosophy, and she brings a genuine love of the business to work every day. Her strength is in communications, and you’ll see it utilized with frequent project updates and guided expectations. She will take care of you through completion.

Brenda began building and remodeling with her husband in 1999. Together, they traveled around the world building, educating and offering humanitarian support in the nonprofit sector. This experience led Brenda to obtain her contractor’s license and continue to grow in management. She teamed with Joseph to bring structured admin support, strategic business planning and expand marketing opportunities. Expect Brenda to lead with professional integrity — treating you and your home with the upmost care.

After hours you can find Brenda chasing after her 8 grandchildren, or traveling the globe making memories. In a rare quiet moment she loves to listen to audio self-development books. “Supporting small business growth feeds my entrepreneur nature, while cultivating close client relationships,” Brenda says. “I thrive in positive and progressive environments.”

With an expansive skill-set and a precise conviction to quality, there’s no better project manager you’ll want on the job. Steve brings 20 years of custom carpentry to the team, along with the critical thinking skills to trouble-shoot and guide you through the unforeseen challenges on the remodeling roller-coaster. With Steve at the lead, your project will be handled with care from pre-construction advice to the final custom detail; he’s got you covered.

Steve built on his aptitude, and love of carpentry when he began flipping houses in 2003. Learning a variety of new crafts and challenges each day, brought a satisfaction he never turned away from. Exterior remodeling has a broad spectrum of facets and faces, and the change in scenery is what motivates him to lead clients with patience and authority; seeing their dreams come true. Steve has worked with Joe designing, building and managing countless projects as an employee and independent contractor. The instant gratification of creating, partners well with his commitment to making the homeowner absolutely happy with the outcome.

When he’s not designing or building actual race cars, he loves a good concert. As a craftsman, it’s not surprising he also has a diverse taste in the arts from body ink to Dutch and French painters, including an overseas trip to experience ‘stepping into a Van Gogh.’ A perfect day for Steve will include being creative in the sun, with a bag of gummy candy within reach. “I love working with the JKC team; such a genuine and good group of workers who are open to ideas, and support each other. And seriously, no short-cuts allowed; high quality is the only standard.”

The positive and enthusiastic energy Tamara brings to the project uplifts the team and clients alike. She is completely dedicated to her work and brings the attention to detail every project requires. While you are focusing on the transformation onsite, she is behind the scenes tracking expenses and making sure the project lands on budget. Tamara has a curiosity for learning, and with her extensive background in expense analysis and budgeting, she keeps us all organized and in sync. To balance the analytical side with her need for the creative, she obtained a design certificate and is continuing to develop her exterior design knowledge, one-home-at-a-time.

From the age of nine, Tamara worked at her father’s butcher shop, tracking inventory and running a register. By her teens, she was recording income and expenses in daily ledgers while greeting and taking care of customers. Becoming an integral part of her community through the small-business model, she knew there was a path to follow in sales and finances. After continued education, a major sales retailer snatched her up and she shined in finance, administration and design. Inspired to keep learning and exploring, she joined the JKC Team remembering her love of personalized service, and home design, would connect and balance her talent for analytics.

Tamara loves creativity and works with various art mediums such as encaustics, clay, or glass work. She is always up for an adventure, especially in the beautiful PNW, where you'll find her out traveling and exploring, riding bikes, or playing tennis with her husband, dogs and framily (friends who are more like family). Giving back through volunteerism is also a key component to rounding out Tamara’s work-life balance as it fuels her soul, giving her the energy to stay focused on her end goal; client satisfaction. “It’s exciting to be a part of a great team that works together on the transformation of clients’ homes. I love the creative aspect, and to see the visual impact of the before to after, which is truly awe-inspiring!” -Tamara

When you have unique elements that give you pause, know that she sees the full potential in your home, will evaluate the (ROI) return on investment, and suggest features that are in line with your desired look. With Bonnie, you’ll have a true advocate on your side.

Since 2005 Bonnie has worked closely with buyers and sellers, finding solutions to real estate and inspection issues. In collaborating with both sides of a transition she was inspired to solve problems while connecting homeowners, contractors, and buyers in their own community. The rise in her construction knowledge came in the form of the unfortunate fall…of a huge tree on her home. Finding her niche in project coordination, she began assisting and managing new construction, custom design-builds, and residential site developments.

If there is something Bonnie loves more than a perfect iced Americano and her obsession with ‘Frenchies’ (the French Bulldog kind) it would be her husband and four children. Her love outside the home is designing transforming renovations while collaborating and making new friends along the way. “Never Underestimate the Power of One.”
